Service and Third-Party App Disclosures

The facts behind what this site advertises: player apps, devices, picture quality, guide data and external links.

Effective 2 November 2026Last substantive update 2 November 2026

In short

  • Player apps are separate products from your subscription, with their own licences and fees.
  • Device and app support depend on model, software version and region.
  • Picture quality varies with the source, the device, the app and your connection.
  • No marketing claim on this site is qualified away in small print.

01Player apps are separate products

Every device guide on this site names a player app. That app is made, sold and supported by a different company. Installing it is not the same as buying a iptvfrostlight subscription, and buying a subscription does not include the app’s licence.

Where a guide says an app charges its own activation or licence fee, that fee is set by the app’s developer and paid to them. Paying it does not activate your iptvfrostlight subscription. Buying our subscription does not unlock a paid app.

02Device and app support depends on the device

A brand name is not a compatibility guarantee. Two televisions from the same maker can run different operating systems, and an app available on one model may never have been published for another. Support depends on the exact model, the software version, the region the device is set to, and the app version installed.

That is why the setup centre asks for a model rather than a brand, and why some guides say a compatibility check is needed instead of naming an app. Saying “we don’t know yet” is more useful than sending you to install the wrong thing.

03Picture quality

Picture quality depends on four things at once: the resolution of the source being delivered, what your device can decode, what the player app supports, and your home network at the moment you are watching. A 4K television does not create a 4K picture from a source that is not delivered in 4K.

We do not claim that every channel is available in a given resolution, and we do not describe a stream as 4K unless the source is. If resolution for a specific channel matters to you, ask before you buy and we will tell you what we can actually confirm.

04Guide data, catch-up and recording

Programme guide data, catch-up and recording each need support from both the app and the service, and availability varies by channel. An app that is capable of recording does not make every channel recordable, and a channel that offers catch-up only offers it for the programmes the source keeps.

Where a player app states it has no guide system of its own, guide data depends entirely on what the upstream service supplies. None of these features is included in a plan unless we have confirmed it for you in writing.

06No contradiction in small print

If a prominent statement on this site and a disclosure on this page ever disagree, the prominent statement is what we expect you to rely on, and we treat that as our error to correct. Tell us and we will fix the page rather than explain the discrepancy away.
