iptvfrostlight policies
Cookie and Tracking Policy
What this website stores in your browser, what it does not, and how to change your choice at any time.
In short
- The site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking pixels.
- Optional analytics are blocked until you accept them.
- Two local-storage keys remember your consent choice and your guide progress.
- You can reopen the choice from any page with “Cookie settings”.
01What this policy covers
Cookies are small files a site asks your browser to store. The same browser storage can also be used without cookies, through local storage, and this site does use that. This page lists both, says which are needed for the site to work and which are optional, and explains how to change your choice.
The site sets no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels and no session recordings. There is no marketing or remarketing tag here.
02What is stored, and why
| Name or identifier | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Necessary or optional |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| frostlight:consent:v1 | iptvfrostlight | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics, so the banner does not reappear on every page. | Strictly necessary | Until you clear site data or change your choice | Necessary |
| frostlight:setup:<guide> | iptvfrostlight | Remembers which checklist steps you ticked in a setup guide. Contains step ids only — no name, login or playlist. | Preference | Until you clear site data or press “Clear ticks” | Necessary for that feature; used only if you tick a box |
| Sign-in session token (name set by the hosting platform’s auth library) | Website hosting platform | Keeps an administrator signed in to the site’s management view. Customers do not sign in to use this site. | Strictly necessary | Until sign-out or token expiry | Necessary, and only present if someone signs in |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another so page views can be counted. Loaded only if you accept optional analytics and an analytics ID is configured. | Analytics | Google’s current default for this cookie, which is up to 2 years | Optional |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for the analytics property. Loaded under the same conditions. | Analytics | Google’s current default for this cookie, which is up to 2 years | Optional |
Scroll the table sideways on a small screen.
Two further requests are worth naming even though they set no cookie of their own: the typefaces on this site are delivered by Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them, and if analytics is accepted your browser loads Google’s tag script. Both requests disclose your IP address to Google. No analytics is loaded before you accept it.
03What we do not use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies, and no advertising pixels.
- No social-media tracking pixels or embedded social widgets.
- No session recording or heat-mapping tools.
- No cross-site profiling, and no sale of browsing data.
If any of these are introduced, this page and the consent banner change before they are used.
04Your choice, and how it is enforced
On your first visit the site shows a banner with three equal options: accept all, reject optional, or choose categories yourself. Optional analytics is unticked by default, so doing nothing never counts as consent.
Until you accept analytics, the analytics script is not loaded at all — not merely hidden or disabled afterwards. If you later reject it, the script stops and the analytics cookies it set are deleted from your browser.
Your choice is recorded in this browser only. It is not tied to your email address, and it is not sent to us as part of an enquiry.
05Changing or withdrawing your choice
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your selection. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately for future measurement; it does not retroactively delete aggregated page-view counts that contain no personal information.
You can also clear or block storage in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary entries means the consent banner may reappear and setup guide ticks will not be remembered; it does not stop you reading any policy or guide.
06Consent records
We keep the choice stored in your browser so the banner behaves consistently. Because that record sits on your device, we cannot see it unless you tell us. If you want confirmation of what your browser is storing, the browser’s developer tools will show both entries listed above.
07Other sites you reach from here
Links to app stores, app developer sites and WhatsApp open services with their own cookies and privacy policies. Once you leave this site, those policies apply, not this one.
